Lines of research
The main lines of research are:
- The examination of the effectiveness of hypolipidemic interventions,
- Elucidation of the mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of early coronary atherosclerosis,
- Perfecting the methods for prognosis and treatment of acute coronary deficiency.
Last years’ articles are devoted to various aspects of antithrombotic treatment, action of statins, prognosis of outcomes of acute coronary syndrome without ST segment rise, as well as to the results of examination of family members with early coronary heart disease.
The laboratory organized and carried out the analysis of data from independent Refistries of Acute Coronary Syndromes (RECORD), and actively participated in organizing and carrying out the analysis of data from the first Moscow registry of acute coronary syndromes.
Clinical activities are performed in the Cardiology Department and Counseling&Diagnostic Center of the № 29 State Clinical Hospital. The laboratory is involved in the activities of the Atherosclerosis Center that is a functional unit of the institute.
Laboratory members include three Doctors of Medical Sciences and three Candidates of Medical Sciences.
